Hydraulic seals

Hydraulic drives are used in many machines and systems due to the wide range of possible applications in mechanization and automation. The most important component for generating the linear drive movement is the hydraulic cylinder. The function and operational reliability of hydraulically driven machines depend largely on the seals used in the hydraulic cylinder.

Wipers / Guidances:

Dirt wipers protect the seals and guides from damage caused by dirt adhering to the piston rod. The lip of the wiper removes even the finest dirt from the piston rod.
Dirt wipers should always be replaced when replacing seals, even if they still appear to be sufficiently functional.

Pneumatic seals

Different types of seals are also used in pneumatics (energy transport using compressed air). A distinction is made between cylinder and valve seals. Cylinder seals are used as rod seals or piston seals, individually sealing, combined with wipers, damping or static. Valve seals are used as seat or slide seals

Static seals

  • O-rings / static seals: O-rings are mainly used for static sealing. Only in exceptional cases are they used as dynamic sealing elements
  • Round cord / round cord rings: finite O-ring profile, or ring vulcanized together from round cord
  • Back-up rings (back-up rings): These are used to prevent gap extrusion of radially sealing O-rings in dynamic applications
  • USIT rings: They are used for the static sealing of screw connections and flange connections

Rotary seals (radial shaft seals)

The designation of this seal for sealing rotating shafts against oils and greases is "radial shaft seals" according to DIN/ISO. The name Simmering® is a registered trademark of the company Freudenberg, the inventor of this system. This type is supplemented by trademarks.
In order to guarantee perfect functioning, it is necessary to determine the installation conditions, i.e. the lubricants used, pressure, temperature, shear forces and shaft surface as precisely as possible.

Stuffing box packing technology

Stuffing box packing technology is a proven method of sealing rotating shafts, plungers, spindles and certain static applications. Yarns, which can be natural or synthetic, are braided and impregnated in a specific process. The braids can consist of just one type of yarn or a combination of different yarns. This achieves a very high level of performance, which also meets modern requirements such as TA-Luft.

Packing Cutting Gauge / Cutter
For easy cutting of package lengths

The packaging cutting gauge was developed for the practical cutting of packaging from the roll. This gauge is the only way to cut packings accurately and in line with the application.
Packing blanks with 45° radial bevel cut in the shaft/spindle diameter range from 5 to 120 mm and packing cross-section from 3 to 20 mm (measuring scale in millimetres and inches)

Packing Puller
For the simple, gentle and complete removal of old packings from the installation space

The helical tip drills effortlessly into all types of braided and woven packing. Even hard-to-reach stuffing box spaces can be reached with the flexible and strong shaft.
Packing pullers are available in sizes 0.1, 2, 3 depending on length and diameter.
